Kathy-

Our mission housekeeper - Sister Moses. She is a great cook and wonderful friend. I don't know what I would do without her help.

Our two AP's (Assistants to the President) - Elder Delai (from Fiji) and Elder Pratt (from Houston.)

Elder Butterfield and Elder Bushman our Office Elders. They are capable and willing to do anything - even put a whiteboard together.

This is a typical scene as we drive from village to village. The goats seem to enjoy sitting in the middle of the road. If we honk, they may or may not get up and saunter out of the way.

We saw this bird on our drive to Moriba Town. My daughter told me it's a Woolly Necked Stork.

This is what our car always looks like when we come home from Moriba Town.

Woke up to this little friend on our living room curtain. He was as big as the palm of my hand and the fastest spider I've ever seen.

Everything is colorful here! Even the mixing bowls!

This boy kept saying, "Hi - I'm President Walters" in a deep voice. (That's the local Stake President). Everyone laughed at his mimicry.

This was Relief Society today. I love all the colorful dresses. These women have colorful personalities as well. They laugh easily and enjoy each others company. The discussion was the liveliest I've ever seen. They don't mind expressing their opinion - loudly. I understood about half of what they were saying, which means I'm getting better. My favorite phrase was "Papa God" which they used often. The people in this area LOVE the missionaries and treat them really well.
That's all I have time for. I promise to write more later.

Oh how lucky you are....for so many reasons! Sierra Leone is the best place to be a missionary, you have the most incredible callings in the history of the world, Sister Moses is the best friend and resource ever, and you have Moriba Town in your mission! (If you need a referral for an almost good tailor in Bo, let me know.)

So glad you are there and having these wonderful experiences. I only wish we could be there with you! We pray for you every single day. Sure do love you!
Oh how I love seeing and feeling the goodness of these wonderful African souls, and all of your experiences and challenges--even the enormous spider--bring tears of joy for your precious African moments, challenges, and the deep love and blessings that have come and will continue to flow in abundance from the Lord's work in Africa. What a privilege it is to witness and be part of it.
A day doesn't pass that Africa and our loved ones there aren't still with us and always will be. Carry on! Love and Best to you, Kevon and Brent Miller cheering for you!
